Anna Maroney, Ph.D.

Vice President, Head of U.S. ceedd

Anna Maroney joined the ceedd in 2008 as an Alliance Project Leader and is currently heading the ceedd Research and Alliance Management Team. In her role, she supports the evaluation of new business opportunities and guidance of current alliance programs to successful transitions into GSK. Dr. Maroney has more than 15 years of experience in drug discovery and clinical development with a unique blend of biotech and large pharma research and business experience. She has led R&D programs from target identification to corporate partnering for clinical development in oncology and neurodegenerative diseases. As a Project Team Leader, she has been accountable for IND submissions and early clinical development. Prior to joining GSK, Dr. Maroney had increasing roles of responsibilities at Johnson & Johnson PRD, 3-Dimensional Pharmaceuticals and Cephalon Inc. Dr. Maroney received her B.S. from Fordham University and a Ph.D. in biochemistry at the University of Rochester.
