Christian Baumann, Ph.D.
Alliance and Project Leader
Chris Baumann joined the CEEDD in 2009 as a Biology Research Director and has recently transitioned into alliance leadership. Prior to joining GSK, Chris spent more than 8 years in roles of increasing responsibility at 3-Dimensional Pharmaceuticals and Johnson and Johnson, PRD. During that time, Chris contributed to or led research programs at all stages of drug discovery and pre-clinical development for a variety of molecular targets for the treatment of cancer, inflammation and metabolic diseases. Chris received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the George Washington University and conducted his post-doctoral training at Parke-Davis/The University of Michigan. In his current role Chris is responsible for the leadership of the ChemoCentryx alliance and support of MaxPlanck academic partnership.
